just as everything seemed to be going perfect for harry the world took another huge dive. the shaggy black haired boy ran a hand through his dishevelled hair rubbing the tear ducts of his eyes beneath his round glasses his green eyes closed as he fought back the taunting pain of a severe head ache. dumbledore was dead, and the one person he'd suspected of committing such a crime, lord voldemort, was not the perpetrator. severus snape the potions master who they'd suspected so many times had done it. he should have seen it coming.

unsure of what was happening hermione pulled herself from the bed that she'd been sleeping in, there was screaming everywhere, lights streamed through the window of the girls dormitory and she grabbed her robe from the top of her trunk, slipping her feet into a pair of shoes before she hurried herself down the staircase to the common room. the sight before her made her mouth open in question but no words would come. 'harry?' she called to the figure sitting by himself by a booming fire.
